Dystopian Rhythm Podcast 014 – Hefty
Hefty – (London, UK)
Today’s podcast comes from London techno producer Hefty.
Hefty has created his own unique style of dark, abstract, bass fueled hypnotic minimal, druggy underground dark tek, and dark driving heavy techno, which has received huge interest in the global minimal and techno scenes.
His music is played and supported by some of the best names in techno/minimal, he has many tracks signed to well respected heavyweight techno labels, and requests for EPs, remixes and podcasts continue to flood in from around the world.
After spending 2 and a half years building up the support, friendship and respect of his peers, he decided to create his own label “Darker Sounds“, which has gained an impressive following and respect in just a few months since its conception in September 2012. With nine releases so far, each gaining high places in the top 100 charts (Beatport, Juno etc), 2014 will see the start of Darker Sounds labels nights around Europe.
With a growing and loyal fan base, numerous international gigs under his belt, his own successful sample pack series, over 100,000 plays on Soundcloud, his popular monthly podcast on Fnoob Radio, the support and respect of his musical peers, Hefty is determined to unleash his dark sounds on the public and continue to explore the realms of dark minimal and dark techno.
